FIXED RATE MORTGAGES ?
Q – I have a standard variable rate (SVR) 3.15% AIB Bank € 360,000 mortgage and I am thinking of switching to a fixed rate. I am not sure if I should leave it on the variable rate or which fixed rate to opt for – 3 or 5 year. I am worried about all this hype of the Celtic Tiger being back and where it is going. I need security in my mortgage. Can you help please ? Charlie – Greystones Co Wicklow
