DRAWING DOWN MY PENSION

Q. I am due to draw down my pension this coming September being 65 years old. With the family raised and my wife still working outside the home, I am not under any financial pressure. It seems like a lot of money ( € 210,000 ) and am unsure whether to go the annuity or Approved Retirement Fund (ARF) route after I take my 25% tax free lump sum. It is so confusing especially when originally I thought I could take it all and tax free ! Wish I had understood the process all those years ago… would be grateful for any advice. Thanks Michael – Killarney Co Kerry
