Q. I bought my home in late 2005 and, like a lot of other people I am struggling, but coping, with my mortgage repayments. I get Mortgage Interest Relief which amounts to almost €200 p.m. This is paid directly to my mortgage account and reduces my monthly repayment. This tax relief was due to finish at the end of this year but in the Budget last October it was announced that it was being continued to  2020 on a tapered basis. What will this mean for me?
