HOLDING OUT FOR AN ARF

Q – Recently retired at the age of 58, I have just taken out an Approved Retirement Fund (ARF) and have been told I must take this “imputed distribution” of 4% of the fund each year up to age 70 and 5% after. Is this true  – I don’t really want to touch the fund as I am still relatively solvent and want it to continue growing in this Bull market. Jerry – Mullingar Co West Meath
