Q. I did nt get on with my parents and to be honest did nt contact them for years having emigrated from the UK to Cork some 35 years ago. Sadly they both passed away recently and as an only child, I now find they generously left me their home and savings worth c. £320,000 ( c. € 421,000 ) and wonder if I repatriate the money to Ireland, will I have to pay tax on it ? Thanks Terry – Cork.
