OVERWHELMED WITH DEBT
Q . My eldest son is in his 3rd year of college. My wife and I took out a loan in 2020 to get some essential repair work done in the house and also pay for the college fees and help towards his rent – get him set up basically. I had to retire earlier this year due to illness so we have been unable to make the loan repayments. I dread the postman arriving each morning for fear it is yet another reminder or arrears notice from the bank. How can I get on top of this? David – Drogheda Co Louth
