GRANDMA’S & AUNT’S LEGACIES – TAX ON BOTH ?
Q. Can you please clarify an inheritance issue for me. My grandmother sadly died in 2018 and left me € 31,000 in her will though I did not receive it til January this year. Late last year, my aunt died and left me and my siblings € 36,000 each ( she had no children ) which I shall be getting next month when Probate goes through. Do I have to pay tax on both of these ?
