GRANDFATHER’S & UNCLE’S LEGACIES – ANY TAX TO PAY ?
Q. My grandfather died in July 2019 and left me € 30,000 in his will. Late last year, my uncle died and left me and my siblings € 28,000 each ( he was a bachelor and no family ) which I shall be getting next month when probate goes through the same time as my grandfather. Do I have to pay any tax on this ? Martin – Cork
