A CRY FOR HELP
Q – I am a widow and I live alone. When I retired I expected to be able to manage financially. But it hasn’t worked out as I planned. I have credit union and credit card debt of about €19,000. This debt, plus the increased cost of living and my monthly rent is making it really difficult for me to make ends meet. I’m too embarrassed to ask my children for help and they have their own families now to look after. Is there anything I can do to get out of this situation? Marie – Dublin 12
