Q. My husband and I are retired three years and have no debts and can live within our means from the pensions that we both receive. We have 3 children all in their 30s and all struggling financially. Two in negative equity and the youngest unable to put a deposit together for their first home. We do have savings in excess of € 80,000 plus our mortgage free home. Do you think it a good idea to give our children their inheritance now rather than when we pass on ? Love the column, thanks. Anne – Limerick
