ETHICAL INVESTMENT ..GOVERNMENT BACKED  – SHORT TERM & FIXED RETURN

BIOGAS – an ethical investment yielding 25% after 3 years

The very best deposit interest return on the Irish market at present is NTMA’s National Solidarity Bond that yields 16% tax free after 10 years. This is equivalent to a gross return of 2.54% for each year. With this ethical investment, guaranteed by the UK government, the return is 25% gross after 3 years.

Biogas is a high-energy gas that is the end product of anaerobic digestion (AD). AD is the breakdown of organic material by micro-organisms in the absence of oxygen. In the proposed development the feedstock will be potatoes and potato pulp.

ANAEROBIC DIGESTION

Organic material is broken down in the digester producing biogas and a by-product called digestate, a rich fertiliser. The biogas is either upgraded and diverted to the mains gas supply or combusted in a CHP unit producing heat and electricity. Some of that heat and electricity can be used to power the digester.

PROMOTER TRACK RECORD

SOLAR 21 – THE RENEWABLE ENERGY EXPERTS

Solar 21’s management team has many years’ experience in investment structuring and fundraising and in financial planning, wealth management, pensions and investments.

Solar 21 was established in 2010 as a renewable energy generating company and has been funded by private investors. The original portfolio of renewable energy assets comprise solar photovoltaic plants located in Europe where a strong government commitment to renewable energy has led to the establishment of an incentive to producers called a feed-in tariff (FIT).

Solar 21 has delivered consistently high returns to investors in its solar assets portfolio. Those investors who came on board for the first tranche of investment secured a 10% annual coupon, which has been paid annually to date. We continue to acquire and manage assets and are currently paying out above-average coupons of 7.5% per annum.

In 2015, Solar 21 made a strategic decision to diversify into bioenergy projects with the establishment of a subsidiary Biomass 21 to raise funds for the construction of a 22MW biomass plant near Hull, UK. This plant is energised and is exporting power since the end of March 2017 as scheduled.

This investment will close the end of May 2017 or before it if it is fully subscribed before then. Already over € 10million of the    € 15million sought has been raised.
